Festeggia il nono anno di vita la fortunata compilation “Take Action”, il sampler della Hopeless Records che presenta le ultime novità in ambito punk rock e non solo, provenienti da oltreoceano. Da  qui sono nati i successi di band ora affermate come Thrice e Avenged Sevenfold ed è innegabile che tra le innumerevoli tracce si nasconda anche in questo volume qualche “next big thing” del panorama internazionale. Due cd ricchi di frenetici brani ma anche versioni acustiche come quella di “The Middle” dei Jimmy Eat World rifatta dai We The Kings che apre il primo dei due cd dopo una breve intro che spiega il significato della compilation.

La scelta di dedicare il 5% del ricavato della vendita alle organizzazioni no-profit in giro per il mondo è infatti il must della compilation sin dalla sua prima edizione. Non mancano brani delle band più in voga tra gli emo kids di oggi, ovvero i Mayday Parade e i There for Tomorrow, ma la compilation è ricca anche di varie versioni remix come quelle di “Hot mess” dei Cobra Starship o “Maps” dei Let’s Get It. Trentacinque brani che inquadrano l’attuale scena statunitense con un affresco di sonorità variegate che vanno dal pop-punk al metal.
