Come sempre nella tradizione punk le compilation e i sampler hanno contribuito al passaparola tra i fans e hanno permesso agli ascoltatori meno dediti alla ricerca di scoprire in maniera semplice band simili ai propri gusti. La Sub City Records, costola della ormai nota Hopeless Records propone oggi l'ottavo volume della fortunata saga "Take Action", una compilation venduta insieme ad un dvd che propone il meglio della scena emo-punk d'oltreoceano.

Venti sono i brani presenti nel cd che spaziano da nomi noti anche ai kids italiani come All Time Low, There for Tomorrow, Every Avenue e Motion City Soundrack a band meno conosciute come Red Car Wire, Four Year Strong e Versa Emerge. Tra brani già editi e parecchi inediti la selezione offre sonorità punk di moderna concezione, ovvero molto melodico ed emo-oriented. Interessante anche il dvd allegato che regala ben 13 video di band acclamate come Rise Against, Underoath, Plain White T's e Hit The Lights. Ancora una volta gli emo kids non rimarranno delusi da quello che ormai è un appuntamento fisso offerto dalla Hopeless Records.
